Chelsea Rae Schmidt  I work with a lot of photographers just starting up their own businesses. So many of them have the talent and the desire but feel lost. This is a great article and I will definitely be sending it out to a few of my clients.  03.19.13 - 5:49pm

Veronica Salazar  Thank you for this awesome post, J*! Most of the time we photographers think more like artists than business persons, and we must balance both aspects of our craft. Branding and marketing are musts! I'm receiving coaching to revamp my business and take it to the next level, and this is one of the things I get repeated the most.  06.06.12 - 3:47am

Brianna  Since I'm not the most self-guided teacher, I picked up a book by roberto valenzuela that has some exercises. I'm trying to log in my hours and blog at it at the same time since I'm not a natural blogger! Maybe by then, I'll be a little better versed in both! As usual, your an inspiration Jasmine!  06.04.12 - 11:19pm

Christopher  When I teach workshops or discuss photography with beginners, I always stress the importance of practicing. It amazes me not only how many aspiring photographers don't practice - but also how many pro photographers don't practice. The best athletes, musicians, chefs, etc. practice everyday. I've been shooting for over 20 years, and will still set up something that will prepare me for an actual photo shoot.  06.04.12 - 8:18pm

Liz  Jasmine - you missed one thing. What if you're teetering on the edge of doing it, but are just too afraid/freaking out/worried you'll make a total dummy of yourself? :) I guess that's something I have to figure out for myself, but I am wondering if you had the same feelings?  06.04.12 - 10:07am
