Bartek Mmmm, I love how wide and solid this thing is! I'm really curious however how MUCH better it is than the 1.4 though?! I'll be tuning in to find out :) I also noticed you have a UV on there. We currently don't use any filters to have as much unaltered light go in the lens, but I guess it's protection for your new baby? 04.21.08 - 9:37am

Stew Congrats on your new lens. Sounds like it'll be a great tool and a fun toy for you. I hope your clients enjoy the shots from it as much as you enjoy using it. I just this weekend ordered the f1.8, not having a pro's budget. It won't have that same buttery, rock-solid feel, but I expect it may become my everyday lens (replacing my 17-40 L, which I love for landscape). Best of luck. 04.21.08 - 7:10am

Cathy Crawley I bought this lens a few months ago, I use it all the time. I hardly use my 24-70 that much anymore but I still pull out the 70-200 a lot.
