I'm sure our paths were intended to cross a few times before–afterall, the wedding industry is quite small–but they hadn't. We must have been at the same industry parties and worked at the same events, but we simply didn't have the chance to connect. It wasn't until the ever fab Michelle Weita of Details, Details introduced us, that Mei and I had a chance to talk over the phone. In a kind and quiet voice, Mei spoke about her love for her husband, her job as Vice President of Wildflower Linen, and her appreciation for the smallest things in life. I was smitten instantaneously.
Mei went onto explain that she and her husband, Hon, had a civil ceremony last year, but she didn't have a single picture of them together. Or her in a wedding dress. I'll need something to show my future kids I was married, Mei joked. When she asked if I'd be able to photograph a Day After session for them, I was beyond thrilled!
To celebrate their one-year anniversary, Mei and Hon stayed at the Langham Huntington Hotel and Spa in Pasadena. We met last week to capture wedding pictures Mei would be proud to show her kids one day! 😉
