Terranea Resort Wedding : Kristin+Quintan

She can't talk right now…she's too busy falling in love. That's what Marissa whispered into the phone. Kristin's mom had called, but her best friend intercepted the call to let her know that this? This was different. Earlier that day–on a random snow day in Dallas–Kristin and a group of friends decided to brave the cold and walk across the street to a neighborhood bar. Work was cancelled, so the girls piled in from the freezing streets and shook snow from their shoes.

The bar sat empty with the exception of a group of guys, escaping the snowy day just the same. Soon enough, the two groups converged and introductions made. Kristin noticed a quiet Quintan, and smiled. Their conversation started slowly, but soon she happily accepted his invitation to sushi that night.

Marissa knew it was serious because Kristin? Kristin avoided adventurous foods like a plague, of which raw fish was one of them.

By the time Kristin's mom called that day, Marissa half-jokingly said Kristin was in love. Years later, Marissa's prediction became a prophesy. On a cloudy day in Palos Verde, Kristin and Quintan married at Terranea Resort, surrounded by their friends and family. Together they promised to remain by each other's sides while eating sushi, hunting Texas hogs, and weathering snow storms.

Kristin and Quintan, I think you're something kind of wonderful. Together you make people feel completely at ease and ready to celebrate your joy, your love. Thank you for allowing me to document your first day as husband and wife. It was an honor and I look forward to what the future has in store for you both. Much Love and Appreciation… j*

In most parts of Southern California, it was a rare 80-degree October day, but in Palos Verde, the coastal fog set in for a chilly day, but it was nothing a few glasses of champagne and laughter couldn't warm.

The bridal party prepared at Terranea Resort and started the celebrations early in the morning and promised to keep it up until the last dance.

Kristin donned a stunning two-piece Monique Lhullier wedding dress. She wore the full, detachable skirt for the ceremony, then removed it for the reception…so fun!

The bride dressed quickly, but made sure to leave time to read a letter Quintan wrote his future wife.

The wedding ceremony was at the newly built St John Fisher Catholic Church in Rancho Palos Verde. There was an abundance of windows and skylights, which made for a wedding photographer's dream to shoot in and document moments like when Quintan saw his bride for the first time.

JD captured one of my favorite moments during a wedding ceremony: when the father gives away his daughter. It was incredibly moving…

The reception was hosted at Terranea, so we headed back to the resort for bridal party and bride+groom photos…I absolutely love the backdrop Terranea Resort provides…

I have to admit this beautiful bridal party made the Pacific Coast even prettier…

Quintan and his groomsmen were so much to fun to photograph because they simply enjoyed each moment and were completely their fun-loving selves.

Quintain and Kristin…you're beautiful. Inside and out. Really.

Just before sunset, the sun peeked out from behind the clouds and casted a beautiful golden glow, making wedding photos at Terranea downright exciting to capture.

The wedding reception was set up for a Texas party with California class…many thanks to Platinum Weddings by Kerrie and Nisie's Enchanted Florist for creating such a beautiful wedding reception.

One of my favorite moments is the First Dance because it's a moment just for the bride and groom, all for themselves…

Their toasts were given with such sincerity and devotion…the room melted into a puddle of love for this amazing couple…

This group was some of the funnest to document dancing…they definitely knew how to party!

I'll end with this photo because this is how Kristin and Quintan spent the entire evening: dancing, reveling, and smiling in each others' arms.
