Pelican Hill Wedding : Alix + Ben

Ben's dad saw a lovely girl walk across the street with a plate of homemade cookies and into the surf shop his son owned. With the waffling scents of sugar filling the air, his dad turned to his brother and asked who she was. Ben's brother admitted Alix had been stopping by the store often, after Ben gave her a surf lesson. Since when did Ben start giving surf lessons, his dad asked. His brother smiled and said when a girl like Alix walks into the shop, it's easy to understand how Ben would do anything to keep her there.

Years later, Alix and Ben planned to spend Thanksgiving with her family and while the ladies opted to spend the day cooking, Ben invited Alix's dad for a round of golf. As they approached the first hole, Ben told himself it was time to ask for her hand in marriage. Nervously he swung at the ball and decided to wait until the second hole. No, the third. Let's just say the fourth. Eighteen holes later, Ben turned to her father and asked for permission to marry the girl of his dreams.

Without a doubt, both their fathers saw what their children shared was special, a bond that couldn't be broken. This bond was formally celebrated with a wedding at Pelican Hill Resort and their love was on display for all the share.

Ali and Ben…you are two of the nicest, most kind, and lovely people I've had the chance to work with. Your families are amazing and I can't thank you enough for allowing me to document your love. The love you share makes those around you better. I wish you nothing but the best together…and enjoy the Bahamas! Much Love and Appreciation… j*

Alix carried a handkerchief her grandmother used on her wedding day, then passed it to her mom who used it on her wedding day, and Alix proudly carried it close to her heart as she prepared for her wedding…

Beautiful white bouquets…so lovely…

Alix wore a stunning Monique Lhuillier wedding dress that fit her like a glove…

Ben and Alix opted to see each other before the wedding ceremony, so as Ben waited to see his bride, Alix enjoyed the gorgeous walk through Pelican Hill to see her groom…

I'd say Ben was quite happy to see Alix as his bride…

We spent the afternoon roaming through Pelican Hill Resort and the light was just stunning…

While we were taking photos, Alix's dad saw her and was blown away by how fast she had grown up…and how stunning she looked…

Her dad, Josh, turned to Ben and let him know he was happy to call him his son…

And this? Well, this is one of the prettiest chuppahs a girl could ask for. Stunningly styled by White Lilac, it was the perfect backdrop for their wedding…
