St. Regis Monarch Beach Wedding : Kathryn+Corey

He cried when she walked down the aisle toward him. Big, soft tears rolled down his face and he wore a look of astonishment seeing his bride smile at him as she descended the steps of the St. Regis Monarch Beach. Kathryn refers to Corey as her best friend, the person who wipes her tears, cheers her on, and remains on the dance floor until the last song has played.

As their friends and family gathered around them, Kathryn and Corey promised to stay true and hold hands as they age, memorizing the grooves and crevices on each finger. As husband and wife, they promised eternity and a day in their vows and sealed their commitment with a kiss.

The rest of the evening was spent popping, clinking, and cheering to what may have been the happiest couple in the world at that exact moment. The earth paused on its axis, with just enough time to Kathryn and Corey to realize that, yes, their day was nothing short of perfection.

Kathryn and Corey, I hope you're enjoying Bora Bora (and staying away from those sharks) and soaking in every ray of goodness and breathing in beautiful goodness. You deserve the best and I'm beyond thrilled to call you clients…and friends. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Much Love and Appreciation… j*

The wedding day began with preparation at The St Regis Monarch Beach…Kathryn had an amazing team to curl her hair, paint her nails, and do her makeup. But can we please have a moment of silence for THESE SHOES?!

Kathryn's grandpa passed away just weeks before her wedding day, so her grandmother surprised her with a handmade garter, complete with a piece of blue material from her grandpa's favorite shirt…

Kathryn was lucky enough to have two maids of honor, both who helped her every step of the way…

Beautiful blooming bouquets, complete with pastel pink roses…

Kathryn's bridesmaids looked like they walked off the pages of a magazine…

And they knew how to have a fun time too!

Kathryn, you are a STUNNING bride. No, really. You are.

It was a beautifully warm day in Orange County and the light was juuuuust perfect…

Shooting a wedding at the St. Regis Monarch Beach is always a treat, especially when the rotunda is gorgeously draped…

Kathryn mentioned to me that she had her sweet 16th birthday at the St. Regis Monarch Beach, a time she remembers with fondness and joy. Little did she realize that about 10 years later she'd walk down the aisle to marry the man of her dreams at the exact same location…

Corey was all tears…

It was a charming and heartfelt wedding ceremony…

Kathryn and Corey's friends immediately toasted the happy couple after the ceremony…

The most adorable (and silly) flower girls and ring bearers…

Kathryn and Corey joked they had an army of a bridal party…I corrected them by insisting it was a battalion! 😉

Corey is a professional model and when I saw this photo that JD captured, I totally understood why…

Perfect wedding day, perfect light, perfect couple…

JD is an integral part of my business and a pretty darn amazing second shooter. I captured the photo on the left while he captured the photo on the right at the exact same moment…

Oh, hey, Kathryn…rawr.

As guests enjoyed cocktail hour, the couple ventured inside the St. Regis Monarch Beach for a few more wedding photos…

This rotunda just never gets old…never.

Before guests entered the ballroom for the reception, the couple enjoyed a sneak peek and a few stolen kisses…

Many (MANY) thanks to Jayme and Natalie of A Good Affair…they worked tirelessly at planning and executing an amazing wedding…

Kathryn and Corey really wanted a fun, relaxed vibe to their party, so this lounge furniture around the dance floor was perfect…

A sweet touch from Bottega Louie…and a beautiful floral cascading sweetheart table…

The reception was located in the largest ballroom at the St Regis Monarch Beach because there are just too many people in the world who love the couple…

The flowers made the ballroom smell amazing…

The First Dance…

The night started with beautiful speeches…

Heartfelt moments…

A bit of roasting…

And a lot of toasting…

The reception was a cacophony of laughter, conversation, and joy…

And then the party began…

But, first, lemme take a selfie…

Cheesing it up in the photo booth…

I'll end this post with this picture…it perfectly sums up just how fun their love is!

This wedding wouldn't have been possible without the amazing creative team who brought the couple's vision to life…
