Get Out from Behind the Computer

When I first started getting into photography, I imagined days full of picture-taking, being creative, and taking rich sighs in fields of wheat. Why fields of wheat? No idea. But this is my imagination, so let's ignore the details. I imagined long days with my camera and all the things I'd document. However, as the business mushroomed, I realized the fields of wheat turned into eating boxes of Wheat Thins in front of my computer.

And just like that, reality and my imagination collided.

Only 20% of my work schedule is dedicated to actually shooting…the other 80% is attributed to workflow, meetings, and email correspondence. In the early days of my business, I felt like a Professional Emailer, not a creative. That's what I realized things needed to change.

I created email templates that helped me correspond with prospective clients, which saved me a TON of time (I mean, why write the same email again and again?). As time passed, I created another set of email templates to help me correspond with current clients in regard to workflow. I'm excited to share this new email set with photographers!
