My Newest Marketing Endeavor

I'm going to be honest: marketing your business is hard work. It's time-consuming, stressful, and leaves you wondering if you're doing it right. But the greatest reward is seeing your efforts pay off. So that's what I want to chat about today: efforts. So often business owners think (and over-think) marketing instead of actually doing it. I'm a firm believer in trying new things until an approach works for you.

So, this is me. Right now. Trying something new. And sharing it with you so we can–collectively–measure its success.

Today I'm flying to Sonoma, California to shoot The Knot Dream wedding this Thursday. The coordinator (Jeannie Savage of Details, Details) emailed the final timeline yesterday and cc'd the entire wedding creative team. It was then when I realized I could connect in advance to create a social media marketing blitz that could benefit everyone involved.

I quickly made a list of all the vendors, visited their websites, and created a list of their instagram handles. Then I emailed them the following:

This is the first time I've tried this, but I think it's a great opportunity to pull our networks together to leverage an organic marketing endeavor.
