Orange County Engagement : Maya + Uriel

He unsubscribed from the dating website with one day remaining of his membership. It hadn't yielded promising dates, so it was an easy decision to make. Until, that is, he received an inquiry from a lovely girl in Boston. Maya was so lovely, funny, and kind, Uriel changed his mind about JDate.com and opted to get to know this charming girl.

They met for a drink and hit things off immediately, but he noticed she placed both her cell phones on the table. In an apologetic tone, she explained she was on the trail with Mitt Romney and an piece of his campaign team as he sought the presidency. Cell phones were her appendages at the moment. Uriel had been in the United States less than a year and while the Israeli democratic process is different, Maya explained everything in great detail…even inviting him to see a live Obama-Romney debate.

Uriel and Maya (the rocker and the republican) casually joke they're as different as can be, but they've fallen in love and promised to remain best friends wherever life takes them. They're marrying next year in Santa Monica and promise to host an unforgettable evening for friends and family.

Uriel and Maya took a break from the Boston snow and cold to spend the weekend in Los Angeles planning their wedding…just before the photo session, Uriel worried he'd be uncomfortable in front of the camera, but boy was he wrong!

One of my favorite things about Maya is her undeterred decision making…she's a girl who knows what she wants and makes it happen! After a few emails, she booked my services for her wedding and thus began our online friendship…meeting her in person was the highlight of my day!

It was a glorious 70-degree day in December, so we headed to a nearby field for a change of scenery…and to represent Boston a wee bit too…

The best thing about their love is their ability to take life as it comes…Uriel and Maya are fun-loving, silly, and downright adorable…

…this is proof.

Happy Tuesday!
