When I first read her email, I was surprised. Then nervous. Then a wee bit jealous. Laura Nathan contacted me and, after visiting her website, I realized she was a writer. Like A REAL WRITER. A woman who gets PAID to write. Of all the professions in the world, she has the coolest. No, strike that…the second coolest. The churro man at Disneyland has the best job because he sells doughy sticks of sugar at the Happiest Place on Earth, but Laura is—in my humble opinion—close at his heels.

Laura contacted me as she was writing an article about wedding photographer blogs and wanted to ask a few questions. Unbeknownst to me, she interviewed a few other people, one of them being my good friend, Jessica Claire. It was refreshing to see two young, female, Orange County photographers grace the web pages of Photo District News! And though I tried to be jealous of Laura’s ultra fab career as a writer, she was too nice for it to last. She was very kind and, as Laura ended our conversation, I thanked her and wished her the best in her writing endeavors. Then craved a churro.

In other news, the awesome ladies at Southern Weddings Blog featured two of my fabulous clients and their beautiful wedding details. I love SWB for it’s inspiration, aesthetic, and clean designs. I think it’s seriously one of the best blogs for brides to garnish ideas and develop an acute sense of style for their wedding! If you’re getting married, it’s a definite read!
