They strolled in the Anaheim Angels’ Stadium Office together and approached a large mahogany desk. Dana easily spoke with the secretary and had her broadly smiling in a few short seconds. So tell me something, he asked the secretary, Can you promise me a World Series next year? Together, Dana and Taeler laughed and swapped player details until they were escorted to the expansive baseball field the Angels’ call home.

Taeler and Dana approached the plush green field with a reverence usually reserved for holy places. The two stood on the pitcher’s mound and gazed at the endless rows of seats while the sun peeked through the stadium slats and kissed their skin. Taeler delicately held Dana’s hand and he looked at her with sheer happiness. No, he looked at her with sheer enchantment. Dana stared at Taeler throughout the afternoon with an anticipatory smile, as if he knew somehow she was bound to impress him. When Taeler remembered the name of the stadium escort she arranged their photoshoot with, Dana raised his eyebrows and praised her impeccable memory. When Taeler displayed her dance moves on the baseball field, he laughed at her impressive leaps. When Taeler laughed at his jokes, he beamed with joy. Dana was thoroughly enchanted with the woman he’ll marry.

I want to sincerely thank Taeler and Dana for allowing me to document them in one of their most favorite places in the world. They’re die hard Angels’ fans, so watching them walk, dance, and love in their favored date-night location, was an honor. They have a lovely wedding planned in April and I’m SO excited to hang out with them again soon!

Manny, our personal tour guide extraordinaire, gave us a backstage look at the stadium and allowed us to go into the Angels' training room. Taeler and Dana had a ball using personal bats from their favorite players…and, yes, the pun was intended 😉
