Petite Ermitage Engagement : Nicole+Matt

It was Memorial Day weekend and the weather was warm and the patio was calling her name. On a mission to set up her friend with the cutest boy at the party, Nicole scoped the scene for eligible bachelors. She was on the patio when she noticed Matt and decided he was The One. She walked up to him and they struck a perfect conversation, so by the end of the night when Nicole asked if he wanted her friend's phone number, he replied, No, I want yours.

The following Tuesday, Matt called his friends at Dolce and planned a date that would sweep Nicole off her feet. No more than a few minutes into their date, Nicole flagged the waiter and asked for a shot of Patron…all of it was too much. The nerves, the star treatment, a date with a guy she was into way too early. Luckily the tequila did them right and the night ended well enough for Nicole to plan their second date at Chateau Marmont a couple days later.

Seated at the best table on a perfect night in Los Angeles, Nicole knew she impressed Matt. If they had feathers, they would have displayed their colorful plumage as a way to stand out from the rest. And they did. Stand out from the rest, that is. Over the course of conversation, Nicole said she's a New Yorker to the bone, but cheers for the Red Sox…Matt (and his big Boston heart) melted and he knew Nicole was a more than perfect. She was The One.

Nicole and Matt are getting married in September and I'm thrilled to be a part of their wedding. We met at Petit Ermitage in West Hollywood for their engagement session and had a blast on the rooftop…

Rooftop engagement sessions always make me extraordinarily nervous because of the shadelessness of it all, but lucky for us the sky was overcast and the sun peeked through just a bit for some gorgeous light….

Oh, Nicole, you make me wanna squeeeeeze you and all your gorgeousness…

Nicole is in the fashion industry, so I was excited to see what she'd wear for her engagement session…and this green dress? Didn't disappoint. Her friend custom made this dress for her (after she saw it at a trunk show) before it hits the market. When it does, I'm buying myself one…or one hundred.

Nicole and Matt are usually the center of the party and live life to the fullest, so when they had the chance to sip on champagne on the Petit Ermitage rooftop, they popped the cork and toasted it up…

Bubbly and Bling…what every girl loves…

Rawr.

Augh…I love you guys!
