Engagement Albums

I’m really quite excited because I just recently received Carlie and Gabriel’s engagement album! They actually requested to make it into a guest sign-in book and I think it’s a fabulous idea! 🙂

For those of you who don’t know, I completely subscribe to David Jay’s “Get Free” philosophy and outsource a large majority of my work. Granted, I may not be as profitable for each event, but I also have the luxury of doing things that will push my business where I want it to be at a much faster pace. By not designing my albums, I’m freed to focus on other aspects of my life and become a better person…not a better designer! 😉

David Jay, my personal wedding photographer, had my gorgeous wedding album designed by Amy Nave at Albumesque and I love it. Following in his footsteps, I use Amy to design all my albums. She’s absolutely amazing and her design aesthetic matches my style quite well. I prefer to display images in a large, uncluttered manner and my clients appreciate her eye. In fact, I have yet to receive a single complaint about a design and most clients don’t make a single change to her work. Like I said, she’s amazing.

Here’s my most recent album by Amy:

It’s an 10-page (20 sides) 8×8 flushmount in red leather (Carlie and Gabriel wanted something a little funky, but I can also get the albums in black, brown, and apple green!)

Below you'll see a few varieties of Amy's layouts…

Because this album will be used as a guest sign-in book, Amy left plenty of white negative space for guests to leave their messages…
