OC SmugMug Meet and Greet

When I opened my eyes this morning, I blinked a few times, adjusted my pupils to the morning light, and noticed JD staring at me. He smiled. I smiled. We sighed. Friday had finally arrived. This week was awesome and I'm so incredible stoked to see the industry growing and changing…how exciting! But, dang, growth and change make me tired! 😉

Last night I hosted the first OC SmugMug Unity Group and I was…well…TOTALLY OVERWHELMED. I expected 70 people to attend last night, but by the time 7:15pm rolled around, there were 250 people flooding the room. I was pulling in chairs from every location possible, but there were still a ton of people standing. To those of you who stood through the night, I promise you'll have a front row seat next time! 🙂

Many, many thanks to all of you who traveled from near and far (Bakersfield, Palm Springs, Fresno, and Jacksonville, Florida represented as well!) to come hang out and make new friends. That's what the night was about: Creating connections and learning from each other. Many gracias to you!

Here are a few photos from the night…

My friend and ah-maz-zing baker extraordinaire Melody of Sweet and Saucy made beautiful, sugary confections…they were a smashing success! Thanks, Melody, for being so yummy! 😉
I asked if she'd be able to incorporate the SmugMug logo and look how cute the cookies were…

My good friend and fabuphotographer, Bobby Earle was on hand to capture a few images…here's CEO Chris (aka “Baldy”) breaking down what SM can do for professional photographers…

CMO Jeff Jochum was on hand to keep the laughs going… 😉

Here I am. Now, Bobby took quite a few pictures of me speaking, but I looked like I was lemon-sucking, possessed girl, so I opted for a wide angle photo!

Thanks again for everyone coming out!
