Happy Independence Day! I love the 4th of July holiday because it embodies everything summer is: Hot, Fun, and Over-cooked hamburgers. Or, as in my case, over-cooked Boca burgers…gotta show some love for my soy patties!

Today JD and I will spend the morning driving up the coast and enjoying the beach. It’s during these long drives when we get the chance to talk—really talk—so I look forward to talking about Lindsay Lohan’s recent birthday party, whether I should cut bangs, and world peace. Because we always talk about world peace.

I hope you have a beautiful day with your friends and family…don’t forget to say a little prayer of thanks for this country. I’ll be the first to admit it has its issues, but, really, it’s one of the best places to live in the world. Hmmm, perhaps I’m getting warmed up for my world peace talks later!
