Kisses+Disses : Scrabble + Summer Nights

We've stopped playing games together. In fact, we pretty much halted anything that, oh, requires us to stare each other in the face as opponents. It started with a game of Scrabble and ended with me flipping the board and tiled letters when JD cheated won. That was three years ago. We also stopped playing tennis, Snood , and the occasional game of hangman because we're the type of couple who kept a running tally who was beating who. Yes, as in marks on a tiny sheet of paper listing victories and losses.

You're probably thinking we need therapy. WELCOME TO THE CLUB.

After the Scrabble Flipping Incident of 2008, I decided to take a break from competitive…well…competitive anything, which has proven difficult since we challenge each other daily. Who fell asleep first? Who can drink the veggie smoothie the fastest? Who loads the dish washer better?

A few days ago, JD suggested buying a Xbox (Com'on, Jas, it even plays BluRay!), but I politely declined. I mean, I can't even make it through a board game without threatening divorce…could you just imagine me playing Halo?!?

This brings me to another installment of Kisses and Disses

This week's DISSES go to…
*Games. They're clearly what's wrong with marriage in America these days.
*Newsletters. Just because I emailed someone in the past doesn't mean I automatically want to added to their list.
*Peanut Butter Capt'n Crunch. JD promised it'd change my life, but this cereal pretty much lacks the awesome that is Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Duh.

This week's KISSES go to…
*Organic oranges. I'm obsessed.
*Midnight in Paris. Woody Allen's newest movie just made me swoon and if you're into what life in Paris during the 1940's looked like, this is for you!
*Summer nights. Long walks, late dinners, and dusky skies at 8pm…perfection!

Happy Friday!
