Happy Wednesday! JD and I left yesterday to Brisbane, Australia and we're incredibly excited to return to such an amazing country. I not-so-secretly think I'm part Aussie (and also part English and part Italian, but that's for a different post) so returning to my pretend homeland is unreal. The smells alone–earth, the desire of the coast, and hot pavement–make me feel alive with the promise of adventure. I can't wait to share what's in store.

I won't be responding to email while I'm away, but I plan to blog our travels as they unfold. It's just us, a rental car, and the Gold Coast for the next few days, so let's see how we fare.
