Janelle and Greg : Wedding

They’re perfect for each other, Janelle’s father said with his champagne glass tilted up, Greg’s her mellow, and Janelle’s his melodrama! Laughter rippled through the country club and heads bobbed in agreement. Janelle’s face opened with mock shock, and Greg gently put his arms around her slender shoulders in support. As the sun set over the canyon, the sky turned varying shades of purple and orange, and champagne flutes were raised in honor of two beautiful people forever binding their hearts as one.

Earlier that afternoon, Greg saw Janelle for the first time as his wife-to-be. On the campus of Claremont College, underneath the glowing sun, she approached Greg from behind letting his eyes fall upon the stunning sight of her as he turned his head. Tears escaped the cusp of his eyelids and streamed down his face, each droplet a sign of his love and devotion. Janelle reached up with her graceful fingers and dabbed the tears with embroidered hankerchief. They embraced and—be it the insanely warm weather or merely the immensity of their love—they melted in each other’s arms.

As Janelle’s father continued with his speech, he explained that two years earlier, when Janelle asked his opinion about going on a blind date with Greg, he replied, Sure, why not…it’s not like you’re going to marry the guy! Little did he realize that his daughter was meeting the man who would take her to a firing range on their first date, join the family on their camping trips, and cherish his daughter in a way no one else ever could. This beautiful couple you see sitting in front of you, Janelle’s father said, are two seeds I’ve seen blossom over the past couple of years…and their relationship has bloomed into a garden of love. And with that, more tears were shed, champagne sipped, and a Janelle and Greg sealed their evening with a kiss.

Janelle and Greg…I am so happy to have been a part of your wedding day. Yes, it was quite possibly the hottest day of the millennium, but watching you love each other confirmed that there was no other place I’d rather be. Thank you for embracing me and JD like we were a part of your amazing families…you’re absolutely amazing! Not only are you lovely outwardly, your beautiful souls make you both stunning people! Have fun in Aruba and enjoy your time together! Much Love…J*

Greg and Janelle were awesome and wanted to see each other before the ceremony to ensure we had enough time for pictures...while we waited for Janelle, Greg and I were able to relax for a bit...

Janelle on her way to see Greg for the first time...

The First Look

It was literally 110 degrees on Saturday in Claremont...but Janelle was such a trooper and still managed to look gorgeous!! (A special thanks goes to Janelle's mom and dad for being on hand with a battery-operated fan, spray bottles, and chilled water!)

In the limo on their way to the reception...
