They met in Huntington Beach late one night. Her grandmother had a house not too far from the coast, so Allison and her girlfriends planned to invade the unoccupied space to celebrate her birthday. While out on the streets ringing in another year of her birth, Allison met Manny. Much like a match struck in the middle of the night, something sparked bright–and quickly–in their hearts. They were two strangers, but that night forever changed the direction of their lives.
They exchanged numbers and soon enough, they became tethered to each other. Over time their pasts (she played softball at UCLA, he created movie props after college) began to dance with their futures (she planned to be a stenographer, he hoped to become a fireman) and soon Manny could do nothing but place a ring on Allison's finger with hopes of her saying yes.
They married last July, but I had the honor of documenting their love in front of my camera last week. It was a true delight watching two amazing people fall a little more in love with each click of the camera.
I love fun and editorial photos, but a wedding portrait still gets me every time…
Allison customized her wedding dress by incorporating the bodice of her mom's wedding dress into the bottom of one she purchased for her special day. The result was a perfect dress for someone who wanted something uniquely her own…

The light was just spectacular in Orange County last week (after a bit of rain) and I could've shot wedding photos in this area all day long…
