RESTART : Marketing + Social Media + SEO

Exactly one week from today, we'll be filming the third, and final, episode of RESTART : A Photography Business Makeover. I'm particularly excited because we'll be talking in depth about how to grow your photography business. Yes, I'll be talking about marketing and creating customer evangelists for your photography, but we'll be getting into the nitty gritty details.

I just said nitty gritty. Yup, I've officially turned into my mother.

In addition to revealing many Restarters new online presences, I'll be discussing how to leverage your new brand in regard to:
   *Marketing to new clients
*Marketing to industry peers (creative teams and venues)
   *Creating a commercial/promo video/showreel for your business
   *How to network effectively
*How to use social media to build your online brand
   *How to improve your SEO
*How to run a profitable business
…and so much more!

We have a full day planned and I'm excited for what's in store! If you'd like to sign up for this free online show, feel free to REGISTER HERE.

If you'd like to see what goes on behind the scenes at RESTART, here's a sneak peek into the mania that has become my life…

The format of RESTART is for me to host a three-month show, where I meet online with viewers who want to learn more about making over their photography business. For the past two months, we've been making changes and revamping studios…and it's been a BLAST! It's also been a lot of hard work too. I usually arrive to the creativeLIVE studios a couple days in advance to go through logistics and pre-production. The photo above is one of the hardest working production teams I've ever had the pleasure of working with.
The photo below is me taking a break and catching up with Director of Photography Education, Arlene Evans. We, apparently, think we're hilarious.

The 30 minutes before we take the show live feels like the air is charged with electricity. Everyone is running around backstage, but this is one of my favorite moments because my nerves are on edge and I want run away. But I can't. I guess it's my favorite because I'm forced to face my fears head on.

Last-minute huddle…I think they're secretly gossiping about my outfit choice. We'll get there in a moment, but, Internet, it wasn't a shining moment in my fashion choices.

I love Celeste Olds. She's my producer and gives the best pep talks.

Special thanks to JD for taking all the behind-the-scenes photos…although when I saw my outfit, I cringed. I thought the outfit was passable IN MY HEAD, but when I saw it in photos, I worried I developed momentary cataracts. I mean, really? The leather top…with frills?
I asked JD why he didn't stop me from wearing this outfit, but he insisted I was so stressed out that if anything–or anyone–would have objected to my attire, I might have quoted Tim Gunn and said, I'm just MAKING IT WORK, ummmkay?

Many thanks to the lovely and amazing Restart Photographers, Melissa Kilner, Ryan Greenleaf, and Nikki Closser…on my right is the uber talented Promise Tangeman who's teamed up with me to rebrand their studios. We'll be debuting their rebrand next week…along with many of those who are participating online as well. SO excited!

For those who have made this process so memorable, thank you. I'm anticipating nothing but the best for our futures and this beautiful industry!
