Inspiration, when needed.

When days get hectic and I find myself further from my camera than I'd like to be, I draw inspiration from things around me. On the streets, in books, and on the web. Today I'm sharing a snippet I found online of street art from around the world. I hope where you are, it fills your cup for the creative energy we all desire.

Ed Matthews - Amazing. Some of it reminds me of Banksy, a graffiti artist here in the UK. Legendary stuff.  12.23.13 - 2:16pm

Anja - You know, it's been a challenging two weeks. During which I stepped away from being creative. Stayed away from social media completely. Yours is the first website I visited in two weeks. I knew I'd find inspiration here and I did. It's not about these pictures, it's simply you, typing out loud, sharing and showing. I am grateful for you, Jasmine.  07.09.13 - 7:44am

Michael Stenhjem - The sidewalk drawing have always blown my mind! Why does it seem like most of the street art is taking place out side of the US?  06.26.13 - 7:32pm
Alyssa - I do the same thing. And NYC is one of the best places for that. There is a wall in the Lower East Side that gets fresh coat of paint every few months. There have been some really incredible artists that have painted this wall. I have a specific tag for it on my blog:  06.26.13 - 6:01pm

Shannon Yates - My niece in the UK does great street art. Here's something she did for converse: She goes by Faunagraphic. I adore her talent.   06.26.13 - 10:23am
Catie Ronquillo Wood - On our recent trip to Berlin, we took a street art "alternative city" tour of Berlin...I have a whole new appreciation for Street Art! I think we saw a piece by the same artist that did the one with the guy pushing the house in black and white. It's pretty amazing since some of them aren't paint at all, but pieced together and essentially wallpapered on the walls! Hope you're fab! xox  06.26.13 - 10:17am
