Kisses + Disses : 40 Days of Dating

It happened a few weeks ago, but I stumbled upon Forty Days of Dating…and then lost five hours of my life. Happily. I don't even know how to begin describing this…this…thing that has consumed my life. In its simplest form, 40DD is a blog chronicling the dating lives of two friends who decided to date each other for 40 days. BUT IT'S SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT. And, yes, the cap locks were necessary.

I started reading around Day 20, but in order for things to make sense, I started at Day One and worked my way through honest, real, and humorous entries, all carefully curated. It's a feast for the eyes because Jessica Walsh and Timothy Goodman (aka my pretend BFFS) are graphic designers, so they made each post so darn pretty. They collaborated with a ton of amazing graphic designers to personalize each post and I've spent the past few weeks eagerly anticipating what might happen next.

Okay, so here's the deal: I'm a wedding photographer. I love love…and I also love reality television, books, and art. This blog combines it all and makes my heart puff to three times its normal size. I've been following Jessica and Tim's love lives for over a month now and today marks the 40th Day. Today I find out if they decide to date beyond their 40 Day experiment!!!

This might not seem like much, but YOU GUYS, I feel like I'm waiting for my friends to ask each other to prom. It's nail-biting suspense (Dad, if you're reading this, I realize it's not really nail-biting suspense…VIETNAM WAS SUSPENSEFUL, I know), and I really want to them to be in love so I can shoot their future wedding. If you're looking for a good read, definitely check it out!

And this leads me to another installment of Kisses and Disses…

*Oreo cookies. JD snuck a bag (an ENTIRE bag!) into the house and a few made their way into my stomach. Doth I have no will power?!? Why am I speaking Elizabethan english?
*Forever stamps. They're so ugly. Why don't we have Forever stamps made of glitter and unicorns?
*Running out of post-it notes. I literally had to stop working and run to the store because if I didn't have post-its, my brain didn't work.

*Love. I'm kinda obsessed with it.
*Pink Armor strengthening nail polish. It's one of those As Seen on TV products I bought at Walgreens, but it really works!
*Hawaii. We're here to shoot a wedding this weekend and even though I'm driving JD crazy with my pigeon accent (Lesgo bust one Da' Kine dive, Brah!) , I secretly think people believe I'm a local. Aloha!
