Definition of Insanity

I heard insanity described as: doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome. It's easy to write this off. Like, oh sure, I get it. But I slowly realized that this wasn't so much a warning as it had become a mantra. For weeks I've been feeling satisfied/dissatisfied/happy/sad/content/frustrated/assured/lost…you name it, I've felt it. And instead of addressing the core of my manic emotions, I–instead–poured myself even more into doingdoingdoing.

Hey, Jasmine, the more of the same you do and the faster you accomplish it, the better you'll feel. Promise!

Friends, this is insanity.

I've decided to detox from blogging and social media for a week, just to give myself room to breathe. I need to shake things up and provide a clean slate for my mind to approach creativity and photography in a new way. I look forward to returning next Tuesday and hope you take some time for yourself as well.

Here's to new outcomes,
