When I first came across Click Magazine, I was incredibly impressed with the design, layout, and fantastic features (as well as the amazing photography tips). It is a photo magazine with a focus on female photographers and really quite lovely. Much to my delight, I was asked to be featured as part of its Adore section and I couldn't be more honored.

The editor at Click asked for me to share my favorite photo…oddly enough, I didn't want to share one I've captured, but a photo of my husband and myself. Here's why…

“As a child, my mother read a story to me about a shoemaker whose children ran the streets barefoot. She animated her voice for each character and I laughed at the ludicrousness of it all. I mean, the shopkeeper made shoes for other children and not his own? Years later the story would haunt me. I started my wedding photography business almost nine years ago and this past year I realized I didn't have a professional photo taken of my husband and I. For years I documented love for others, but it was time to do the same for ourselves. JD and I met and fell in love in high school, so we've grown to know our love extends beyond a single moment, a solitary frame. However, when we asked our dear and talented friend to snap a photo, this is what resulted. It shows our personalities, the happy creases in my husband's eyes, and a moment in time when life was unfathomably beautiful.”

Many thanks to my insanely talented friend and commercial photographer Trever Hoehne for the photo and if you'd like to check more of Click Magazine out, be sure to visit their site *here*!
