Redondo Beach Engagement Photos : Kim+Cris

I really want you to meet my friend. That's what she told Kim, that's what she told Cris. A mutual friend of theirs invited them to a party she hosted, so Kim and Cris were introduced and hit it off. Kim joked she had to fend off a few other girls who were vying for his attention, but by the end of the night they chatted effortlessly. They exchanged numbers, but didn't see each other until a few weeks later at a New Year's Eve party.

Kim knew Cris was going to be there, so she spent a little more time getting ready…and consumed champagne like water to calm her nerves. When she arrived to the party, she and Cris attracted to each other like magnets and spent the rest of the night by each others' sides. And, much how any good story ends, they kissed each other at midnight and harkened a new year. Little did they realize the end of the year was the beginning of the rest of their lives together.

We started their engagement session in Redondo Beach…it's where they live, enjoy, and relax. They opted for a bike ride, and I was particularly fond of their homemade tribal drink holders! 😉

The day was beautiful as the clouds mixed with the sun creating beautiful light against a pastel colored sky…

I'm beyond excited to work with the talented Kerrie Underhill for their upcoming wedding at Pelican Hill Resort…

After a quick outfit change, Kim and Cris wanted to pop a bottle of champagne and enjoy sunset together…

Kim and Cris…you're perfect. Really.

At the end of the session, I hugged them goodbye and headed to my car. Kim and Cris opted to stay and enjoy the last of sunset with their champagne…and I'm so glad they did because I was able to document their love from a distance…

Happy Friday!
