Loft on Pine Wedding : Michelle+Kevin

She moved quietly throughout the room, passing out gifts with a light smile and thanking her bridesmaids for being there with her, in the moment. Michelle's sister gave her a locket with a photo of their mother inside. She would've been so happy to see you married… her sister said as her voice trailed off into a deep hug. The passing of their mother unwrapped pain, but in the midst of loss, they were creating happy memories, knowing a piece of their mom remained in their hearts.

Michelle and Kevin walked mangled paths–intersecting at various moments in childhood, adolescene, college and later–until they stopped traversing in circles around each other, but fell in step with each other. Their wedding day brimmed with anticipation and excitement for two amazing people to say I Do. Friends and family–both present and in spirit–filled their hearts with overflowing love and joy, making a perfect day even better.

Michi and Kev, thank you thank you thank you. These two small words don't seem like enough, but they'll have to do for now…or at least until I find the right way to express my appreciation for allowing me to document your first day as husband and wife. I adore you both and think the world is a better place with you in it. Hope your enjoying Thailand…eat lots of fried market food and get a beach massage for me! 😉 Much Love and Appreciation… j*

The day started off ever so lovely at The Loft on Pine with a gorgeous bouquet and a pair of Jimmy Choo heels….

I couldn't love this Jenny Packham any more than I do…

There's nothing like a sister's love…

There's not a doubt the bridesmaids thought Michelle looked stunning…

Michelle and Kevin opted to see each other before the ceremony…a truly perfect way to start their wedding day…

…I mean, just look at Kevin's reaction to his bride…

Beautiful ladies, beautiful flowers…

A special shout out to the world's sweetest Dog of Honor…

Kevin cleans up nicely himself…

The Loft on Pine was a perfect urban space to declare their love on their wedding day…and the father of the bride couldn't have been happier…

Officially Mr and Mrs…and best friend…

We roamed outside of The Loft on Pine and around the streets of Long Beach…I was happy to find really cool textures…

It takes a lot of trust from my clients when I ask them to join me in an empty parking lot…but I LOVE them for it!

A big–major!–shout out to Carly Rae Design and her team for orchestrating a flawless day…now onto cocktail hour…

All the stunning florals were created by Sweet Marie Designs

I adored the mid-century meets mod meet eco vibe of their wedding reception…

I was tempted to throw my feet up and enjoy this lovely scene…

Most epic dance floor decal. Like, ever.

The First Dance…

And who doesn't want homemade ice cream?!

I think Michelle was saying something like if you don't wanna dance with me, get off the dance floor! 😉

These two are the most expressive dancers. Of all time.

I'll end with this happy note because the night was filled with fun, laughter, and lots of joy…

Many thanks to this amazing team for bringing this day to life…
