Greenbrier Wedding : Ashley + Eric

Growing up in West Virginia, the lure of the Greenbrier intrigued Ashley. The brightly colored wallpaper, the bright floral patterns on vintage sofas, the hexagonal patterns of the plush carpet. Everything mismatched so perfectly. To hail from West Virginia is to love the Greenbrier with reckless abandon. In the evenings, acapella groups serenade guests while the sun sets behind the mountains and mint juleps raised in raucous appreciation. Men in bow ties and ladies in long silk dresses parade through the oversized hallways the same way it's been done for decades.

The luxurious check-in is accompanied by a glass of champagne, only be to out-shined by the sweet Southern welcome. Ashley loved this welcome and wanted her wedding guests to experience the Greenbrier in a way that reflected the love she and Eric shared. Together they invited their friends and family to toast, cheer, and support their beautiful love in one of the most beautiful places in the United States.

Ashley and Eric, thank you for exposing this California girl to the depth and richness of West Virginia. Your wedding was fantastic in every way, the joy in the room was palpable, and fireflies danced in the light of the setting sun. I wish you a lifetime of happiness and joy! Much Love and Appreciation… j*

Ashley chose to wear shoes and jewelry just as sparkly as her personality!

A true southern belle wedding dress…Guindon by Hayley Paige

Ashley prepared in a suite, complete with gorgeous while paneling and a veranda…be still my heart…

Eric surprised Ashley with a gift and her smile says it all!

Last minute preparations…

Ashley's parents are total gems…but she and her dad share a special bond…

Eric was smitten looking at his bride…

The ceremony took place at an adorable Catholic church across the street from the Greenbrier

Officially Mr. and Mrs.!

The happy couple darted from the church and into their vintage getaway car…and they couldn't have been happier!

Back at the Greenbrier, it was time for more wedding photos…and Ashley's bridesmaids were so much fun to work with!

Ashley, you were a vision on your wedding day…Eric couldn't keep his eyes off you! 😉

Many thanks to Cheryl Sullivan Events for transforming the Greenbrier ballroom with fresh flowers to compliment the brightly colored walls and floral decor…

With bright pink walls, this ballroom was one of the cheeriest I've ever photographed!

The Greenbrier has a rich history and every corner harkens a beautiful past, so it was nice to see how Cheryl personalized a few details to ensure the bar felt like a natural mix of the venue and couple…

The First Dance…

Total happiness…

While guests ate dinner, we slipped away for a few more wedding photos at the Greenbrier

The heat finally relented (a little bit, anyway), so we ventured outside for more picture time…this view isn't shabby at all! 😉

The Greenbrier is famous for its sulphur springs, so Ashley and Eric wanted to start their married lives (and have their love documented) at such a historical site…

With his quiet, sly humor, Eric is the best at making Ashley laugh…

The evening continued with hilarious speeches…

…and beautiful toasts…

In the corridors of the Greenbrier, the bride and groom enjoyed a quiet moment before the dancing began…and who doesn't love a red leather couch?!

Speaking of dancing, the party pulsed all night…

Ashley and Eric were surrounded on the dance floor by their closest friends and family…

This flower girl didn't leave the dance floor all night…I almost asked her for dance tips!

One word: FUN

One of my favorite moments at a wedding is when the bride can relax and enjoy special moments with her parents…Ashley's mom really knew how to have a good time!

The perfect wedding night ended with a sparkler exit…and a beautiful kiss!

Many thanks to the amazing wedding creative team who made this day come to life…
