Kubota Dashboard

When JD and I moved to Orange County, we solicited help from his family. With the offer to buy the best pizza in town or give an over abundance of hugs as terms of payment, they agreed. When his family arrived, I stood in bewilderment as I realized I hadn’t really packed. I mean, I thought I had, but as JD’s mother and sisters paced the hardwood floor—opening occupied cupboards and brimming closets—I realized I must have been dreaming. Or wishing.

After an entire day of running around with packing tape and armed with a black marker, I was exhausted and collapsed in the kitchen nook. I saw my mother-in-law open the refrigerator door and call out the need to pack the perishable items. At this point in the day, a block of gold could have been in the freezer and I wouldn’t have packed it. I was over the move. Way over it. And, besides, I really couldn’t have cared less about the almost-empty container of French’s mustard or the bag of organic lettuce.

I weakly muttered that I’d return and clean out the fridge later that week. My mother-in-law then said something I’d never forget: Don’t be lazy, Jasmine. A bulldozer couldn’t have picked my jaw off the floor. Lazy?! Sure, I may cut corners when needed, but lazy I am not.

I cleaned that darn refrigerator like my life depended on it. I cleaned it so well the bleach cried Uncle! from my vigorous scrubbing and I saw my face reflected in the silver egg try. Pfft, lazy.

Last week I heard Kubota Image Tools released the much anticipated Dashboard, and I LOVE it. It’s so darn awesome and I thought I’d share about it here on my blog because after blogging about Kubota’s Photoshop Actions a couple weeks ago, some of you may be eligible for the free upgrade for the Dashboard. If so, you must get it because it makes life so easy!

Kubota’s exclusive Dashboard is a floating palette within Photoshop and acts as a search engine for actions. You can search by name, black/white options, or type of image (like “fashion” or “funky”, amongst many other things). The thing I like best about the Dashboard is the ability to keep two palettes open, with one dedicated to a specific action set, since I use multiple action sets. Here’s a screen shot of my computer this morning:

I love it so much that I thought I’d let other people know you can get the Dashboard upgrade for free if you have the Original Action dashboard, or you can get it for free if you buy a new set. There’s a sale going on at the Kubota Store, so if you’re interested, definitely check it out.

And in case anyone is wondering…just because I use the Dashboard for action shortcuts, it so doesn’t make me lazy. I’ll scrub your fridge just to prove it!
