A s the white lights twinkled against the reflection of the coy pond during their wedding reception, David raised his glass and said he’d like to make a toast to his new wife, a woman who couldn’t be any more beautiful than she looked at that moment. And it was true. Both David and Nancy radiated from the joy they shared in marrying their soul mate, and they looked beautiful together. Both inside and out.
David and Nancy began their wedding day at Yamashiro early, so the afternoon was spent laughing with friends, snacking on Chinese take-out, and trying to gain a sneak peek at each other before the ceremony. The guys basked in the sun streaming into the Japanese garden, while the girls helped Nancy’s delicate feet slip into her petite custom shoes upstairs.
When they saw each other, David lightly touched his chest, as if catching his breath from such a stunning sight. Nancy, bashful from such attention, laughed at David’s sincere reaction and nodded her head slightly when he asked for a kiss. And that’s how the spent the rest of the evening—kissing and simmering in each other’s love. By the time David was toasting his new wife, Nancy’s lustrous smile was permanent and sincere. The sign of a truly wonderful day.
