Marisa and Robert : Engagement
|

I t was her boots. Knee-high, soft leather, three-inch heels. It was her boots that caught Robert's attention at a party. He saw Marisa from a distance and all of a sudden became a lover of knee-high, soft leather, three-inch boots. And the girl wearing them.
Marisa ambled around the party with an oblong glass, casually enjoying the scene. And the ONE cute guy at the party. Marisa and a friend stood together chatting when Cute Guy tapped on a nearby window from outside. Taap, taap, taap. Marisa smiled through the window dividing them. Robert waved hello.
Marisa's friend introduced her to Robert and they spent the night by each other's sides. And they're still spending their nights by each other's sides, so with their upcoming wedding at Bel Air Hotel this September, they're planning to make it a regular thing. :)
When Marisa and I chatted about her engagement session, she mentioned her home in Pacific Palisades, a bluff view, and a white picket fence...and I was all, I'm in! I had such a blast shooting this amazing couple and I knew from the moment we met, they were going to be two degrees just past fabulous...and they were! I'm super excited for their wedding and I know it'll be a perfect reflection of their love. |

We started the engagement session in the backyard...

Robert and Marisa brought champagne to toast their love and their successful engagement session...and I'm sure they secretly toasted their totally funny/dorky/loud wedding photographer too! ;)

LOVE the details. For real.

Could they be any cuter? Yeah, didn't think so!

I felt the urge to work in the white picket fence because, really, isn't that the American dream?

After a quick outfit change, Marisa, Robert, and I stopped by the Pacific Palisades bluffs, just a stone's throw from the house...

Special thanks to Sheree Pouls of Lips and Locks for doing such a lovely job with Marisa's hair and makeup...

I have a quirky sense of humor, so leave it to me to favor the following photos...I love when my clients will just be themselves, silliness and all! :)

I'll end with this photo because Robert was convinced I couldn't get one good photo of him. So much so, we bet on it. Hey, Robert, I WIN!!! :)
