OC SmugMug Meeting : 07.28.09

H appy Saturday and if you're lucky enough to enjoy this weather at the beach, please take a dip for those of us who will be photographing the day away in black clothing! Anyway, in photo news, I'm incredibly stoked to announce the next OC SmugMug meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at 7pm at Mesa Verde Country Club. Due to the size of the last meeting, I came across a few issues in trying to procure a venue large enough to accommodate such a large group...on a really small budget. Many thanks to Mesa Verde for opening its large, mahogany doors for us.
Our first guest speaker will the deliciously fab Jessica Claire and I'm thrilled to have her join us! It's her birthday week, so be sure to drop by her blog and leave some nice words for her. And look at this new bio picture of Jess that the delightful Chenin Boutwell captured a couple days ago...love it! |
Lastly, I totally need to thank the woman that made the SmugMug meeting possible, the ever amazing wedding coordinator, Amy Kuchta of In the Moment by Amy. She made a few important phone calls on my behalf and I'm indebted to her kindness. She's awesome! If you see Amy at Starbucks, please buy her a coffee! ;)

The event is open to everyone and anyone, so no need to be a professional photographer to come...if you like photography, you're more than welcome to join us! Also, the event is FREE...although if you wanna slip me a Benjamin, I'd totally keep it between us! ;) |
