How to Photograph a Subject Backlit
One of the questions I'm most frequently asked is how a photographer can master backlighting a subject. There are myriad sources I could cite on the subject, but it really boils down to one factor: practice. It wasn't until I started photographing objects backlit in the comfort of my home that I began to understand the relationship between light and the object being photographed. This video is a basic approach to shooting backlit against a light sky, which is how I started improving at this technique so as to achieve the photographic results I wanted.
